 Jackdaw finds …. the story

Angie has always had a passion for nature and the world around her.  From being a little girl, she was never happier than when out foraging in the countryside for feathers, cones, berries, wild flowers, old nests, leaves and discarded snail shells.  To her, they were always the finest of treasures.

Angie has a formal background in floristry.  She trained at college and with the late Jane Packer, at her flower school in Marylebone, completing both her ‘Career’ and ‘Wedding’ courses.  There Angie refined the more technical side of floristry needed to create perfect weddings, flowers for events and bespoke pieces for individual clients and friends.  For a number of years, Angie ran her floral design business in Sheffield.

Today, Angie continues to develop her creative business ‘Jackdaw finds’.  From her farmhouse, high up in the hills of the Peak District, she works with foraged and preserved flowers and finds, creating long-lasting pieces that retain their natural beauty.

Like the curious Jackdaw building her nest, the ‘potting’ of each ‘Jackdaw finds’ piece is carefully considered.  From vintage pewter measuring cups, to hand-crafted Swedish birch bark snuff boxes, the look of each design is completely unique.
